Data controller

The personal data collected on avocate.io is processed by Avocate, a technology project under development that has not yet been incorporated as a company. You can get in touch about any privacy matter at info@avocate.io.

Which data we process and why

  • Contact form. Your name, email address and the message you write. They are used only to reply to your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form. The data reaches the team by email and is not stored in any database of the website.
  • Private round reservations. If you reserve positions in the private round, we process your name, email address and, if you provide them, phone number, company, investor type and message. They are used to manage the reservation and to contact you about it. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. This data is kept in the website’s storage, with a daily backup.
  • Visit statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to know how many people visit the website and which pages they view. This tool does not use cookies: each visit is recognised by an encrypted code (hash) calculated from the request to the server, which is discarded after 24 hours, and visits are counted in aggregate. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used.

We do not make automated decisions or build profiles with your data.

How long we keep it

We keep the data for as long as it is needed to handle your enquiry or manage your reservation and, after that, for the periods required by law. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Providers that access the data

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties. To run the website we use these providers:

  • Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting, storage of reservations and visit statistics.
  • Resend (United States): sending the emails from the contact form and the reservations.

Because these providers are in the United States, using them involves an international data transfer, which is carried out with the safeguards provided for in the General Data Protection Regulation, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability, and withdraw your consent, by writing to info@avocate.io. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency at aepd.es.
