Avocate at HackMeridian 2026: AI-powered payments for agriculture on Stellar
Avocate ·

Avocate took part in HackMeridian 2026, the Stellar ecosystem hackathon held in Lisbon on 25 and 26 October, alongside more than 400 developers, founders and teams. It was made possible by the support of the Stellar Development Foundation.
During the event, the team developed and tested a new approach to autonomous payment infrastructure for the agricultural sector, combining artificial intelligence, smart contracts and the Stellar network:
- AI-powered payment contracts (x402 protocol).
- On-chain payments with XLM through the Soroswap integration.
- Investor pool (SEP-56 Vault).
- Smart contract audit.
- Path from testnet to mainnet.
After 18 hours of live coding on Sunday the 25th and another day of work on Monday the 26th, the proposal was running on the Stellar test network. The development is now ready for the next step: deployment on mainnet and use in real transactions.
For Avocate, HackMeridian was much more than a coding event. It was a chance to test its ideas, push its technical limits and turn concepts into working technology applied to agriculture.
The team thanks the Stellar Development Foundation and the partners who made it possible: Drips, OpenZeppelin, Stellar Passport, The Aha Company (formerly Aha Labs), GrantFox, DeFindex, 57Blocks, XOXNO and especially the Trustless Work team, who at three in the morning on Monday were still helping founders table by table. It also highlights the organisation of the event by Guava Global.
